Our journey through Space- Primary 5 and 6
During Term 3, our Primary 5 and 6 pupils embarked on an exciting and enriching journey through the wonders of Space. This topic provided a fantastic platform for developing a wide range of thinking skills and personal capabilities. Pupils had numerous opportunities to:
- Manage and interpret information
- Collaborate effectively with others
- Demonstrate self-management
- Express creativity
- Solve problems independently and as part of a team
Our learning adventure began with a creative art project, where pupils crafted stunning moon pictures using salt and PVA glue. They then worked collaboratively in groups to research various aspects of Space, presenting their findings in imaginative and engaging ways. One of the highlights was the creation of detailed Space dioramas, showcasing both their knowledge and artistic flair. The final results were truly impressive and a testament to their hard work and enthusiasm.
And the excitement doesn’t end there…
We are thrilled to announce that our Space journey will conclude with a visit to Armagh Planetarium on Thursday 27th June – a perfect way to bring our learning to life!
