The P5/6 pupils have made an excellent start to the term, diving straight into their new World Around Us theme: Ancient Egypt.
This topic will provide rich opportunities for learning across the curriculum. The children will investigate when and where the Ancient Egyptians lived, explore the significance of the River Nile, study hieroglyphics, learn about the lives of the Pharaohs, and examine the construction and purpose of the pyramids.
As part of their thematic carousel activity, pupils engaged with a variety of non-fiction texts and historical photographs to spark curiosity and deepen their understanding. Working collaboratively, they have generated a range of thoughtful questions that will guide their learning journey in the weeks ahead.
