Read All About It.....

Today was World Book Day, a day when we celebrate the work of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) we celebrate reading. 

World Book Day is now in its 19th year and to mark this event, pupils had the opportunity to dress up in costumes of their favourite characters. Primary 6 and 7 pupils also participated in paired reading lessons and read to pupils in lower year groups. Reading to and listening to other readers helps them to build oral skills and encourages them to be more comfortable with reading aloud.
