Dear Parents,
As I take my leave from St Malachy’s Primary School, I just wanted to thank you all sincerely for the wonderful ‘send-off’ you gave me on Tuesday evening and for your overwhelming generosity and gifts. (I absolutely love my musical portrait and travel voucher and couldn’t have wished for anything more personal or appropriate).
I have had such a fulfilled working life in ‘Ballymoyer’ and so much of this has been due to the support I received from you, during the last twenty years. I will always be thankful to you for the kindness and friendship you have shown towards me during my time as both a teacher and principal. It has been a privilege to teach the pupils in Ballymoyer and I have so many great memories from the times we have shared together. (I will definitely miss the children greatly when I leave).
I wish to also thank Mrs Marron for agreeing to act as principal in the months ahead and I know she will do a tremendous job to ensure St Malachy’s remains at the heart of the community in Ballymoyer. I know she will value greatly your support as she assumes the extra responsibilities and duties of being a teaching-principal.
It has been the privilege of my life to have served as the principal of St Malachy’s and I wish you and your children all the very best that life has to offer in the years ahead.
