Our Eco-Committee

Young Planters!

ECO Zone
Our pupils are actively involved in promoting an environmentally friendly school. We have created a 'Breathing Place' across from our school in which we encourage wildlife to inhabit. Each year a group of our pupils are elected onto an Eco committee and meet on a regular basis to encourage others to promote reduce, reuse and recycle. In June 2015 we achieved our second green flag in association with Eco-Schools Northern Ireland.
Each year we enter the Tidy Schools Competition. In 2012 we won the Best Kept School in the SELB area. We also plant and harvest our own potatoes, make our own compost and feed the birds. We also recycle ink cartridges, batteries and clothes. In May 2015 we were awarded our second Eco-Schools Green Flag.
